Chris from Sir Weedalot is a licenced herbicide sprayer and is registered with the Health Department of Western Australia: Licence number 4310, Registration number 1232.

Chris has been spraying lawns for the control of broadleaf weeds for many years and has built a reputation for providing a professional spraying service. When spraying broadleaf weeds, all care must be taken to apply when the conditions are right. For instance wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment, making sure there is no or very light winds to minimise drift when spraying and only spraying when there is no forecast of rain to allow the chemical to be taken in and not running off into our water ways.

The next important point when spraying weeds is to be able to identify the weeds and use a product that will kill your weeds. We use a product called Spearhead and is classified Scheduled 5. It has no smell and is one of the safest as well as the very best product for the task.
Broadleaf weeds are all annual & perenial non-grass weeds and spoil the lawn appearance and can cause long term damage if not controlled each year. Some of the common broadleaf weeds found in your lawns are:

Clover, Capeweed, Bindii/Jo-Jo(prickles), Chickweed, Oxalis, Flatweed, Cudweed and Fleabane.

We start spraying for broadleaf weeds from the end of July after the Winter rains. By this time we have found most of the weeds have germinated and we can go ahead and clean up the lawn ready for the growing season in Spring.

Don’t worry if it is a little bit later we can still spray your broadleaf weeds at any time of the year, the only weed that we will miss if its later into Spring are the prickles, they would have already gone to seed and formed.
